sir,my air is 6872 in general cateogery in jee 2011 .is there any possibility of getting some better branches like matellurgical and material sciences or instrumentation engineering or mining in iit kharagpur or iit madras during second councelling? can we expect any vacant seats in iit kharagpur or madras during second councelling since some people may prefer longterm for their second attempt in 2012 and some who are not satisfied with thier rank in iit 2011 may prefer to join in nit or bits.is this possible? please provide me the complete details of such possibilitiesplease please pleaseprovide me accurate information about it or else please provide me the web site fromwhere could i get the information about such vacant seats that are available in iit during second councelling. plese reply as early as possible please please plaese reply as early as possible

frankly speaking..
very less chances of btech cources, except mining machinery in ism dhanbad and msc tech cources like geology abd geophysics with good placements in sim dhanbad...  u can check for msc cources in ism... this is the only option u will get... in 2010 iit admissions only 28 seats were vacant after admissions... nobody leave the chance to get into iits... branch change option is fairly available 2 u in every college.
