is there any diff. between monochromatic light and plane polarised light or both are same?i also want to asked that in the phonomenon of double refraction..........the ordinary unpolarised light gets splitted into two plane polarised beams namely e-ray and o-ray....................although both of them are plane polarised, o-ray has constant refractive index whereas refractive index of e-ray changes continuosly.........why?
