I have just given my board exams and after thorough evaluation i have concluded that i am getting 55 % in PCM. Thus i am not eligible for most entrance exams apart from AIEEE, MHT CET and ENAT (eligibility criterion is 50% in pcm boards for these exams). Now if i do get an NIT, DCE or NSIT through AIEEE am i eligible for admission or do these institutes have their own eligibility criteria of 60 % even after AIEEE. That means if i get DCE after clearing AIEEE but get 55% in boards am i still eligible for admission in DCE? Please help as i am in trouble her and in two minds whether to drop a year and give boards again just to increase my percentage and study for IITJEE or not.. I dont want to drop and give boards again as it might affect my career(having 2 marksheets for boards). Please give a detailed solution.

Take a drop only if you think better preparation and hard work can get you better results. If you worked very hard and still got poor results, don't take a drop. Predictability is the key. good luck!
