SIRCAN U PLEASE TELL ME ABOUT AVG AND HIGHEST PACKAGEAT IIT-GUWAHATI IN LAST 2-3 YEARS AND WAT U THINK 4 COMING YEARS.IF POSSIBLE TELL BRANCHWISE.

the avg package at iit g is abt 5-6 lakhs in d recent years .....Also dis figure is similar in all iits wid a little difference ...Regarding ur interest in knowing d highest package, i can only say dat dis vary every year n u can't say any fixed amount as d highest package value....as it may range from 40 lakhs to 20 lakhs  or even lower for d last year due to recession ...so highest salary doesn't matter much before choosing any institutes , d thing matters is d avg.package u may recive at d end of ur 4 years der.......
Also it is very hard to say d placements branchwise,as during placements branch doesn't matter dat much, but yes if u r in comp sc den u will get placed very quickly n der avg package is more dan others but dis values may change in d following years n i think when dis recession period will get over, d avg.package will reach around 7-8 lakhs in d coming years...
