In aromatic compounds, do we have aromatic nitro cmpds and aromatic carboxylic acid (& its derivatives) and aromatic sulphonic cmpds in iit jee 2011?

i saw the syllabus for iit jee 2011 from their information brochure (u can also find it in iit website) and i saw these topics (i.e. aromatic nitro cmpds and aromatic carboxylic acid (& its derivatives) and aromatic sulphonic cmpds) were not there. Also many important topics are cancelled like: benzyne mechanism, cine substitution, quantitative analysis, molecular formula and weight determination methods, RS-EZ nomenclature .... to name a few. also in maths, a very important topic like differentiabilty is not mentioned!

So should we strictly follow the syllabus (& leave the topics not mentioned)?

Can anybody tell me in which book i can find "chemical methods of separation of monofunctional organic compounds from binary mixtures" . I have R.K.Gupta and O.P.Tandon but didn't find this topic there.
