I KNOW IT WOULD SOUND ABSURD ,BUT, IS IT TRUE THAT BOYS IN MECH ENGG ARE PREFFERED OVER GIRLS DURING PLACEMENTS??ARE THERE ANY PARTICULAR COURSES WHICH GIRLS SHOULD NOT/SHOULD GO FOR??

    there is nothing as such,the only courses where boys are preferred over boys are mining & mettalurgy, and you are highly mistaken that girls are not preferred for mech engg. on the contrary i wud like to add that girls are always preferred over boys during placements.Companies always recruit more girls and offer them relatively higher packages than boys,and this is because of the sincerety which girls show in all fields.

 so,there is nothing to worry about and u can definitely choose mech engg.
