The integration parts comes more often when you are finding out the solution starting from very infinitesimal things, like we consider a section on thickness "dx".We start the solution from tiny things and integrate it to bigger values.And also when we have varying paramters .Often in dealing with time paramters (like calculating velocity from accelaration and vice versa).
