Dear Abhishek,
Its not true, as the criteria of selection ( recruitment ) not only depend on ur past academic records, but there is a great role of ur acads at IIM i.e your CGPA. SOme companies have min. CGPA rule , in which students below a fixed CGPA as per company are not allowed to sit for recruitment process for the that company. But definetly IITians have an edge as they have gud acads background n generally performs well in all fields ( extra curricular activities ) including acads.
