Dear Sir,I have heard that Seats in IITs have increased in 2010 and it will further increase in 2011. Is this increase for only reserved category or is this for general category too. SIr, please reply.Thanks

This time govt. have given reservation @ 30% for resereved catagories. At the same time they have increased seats for IIT leading to approx same no of seats left for general catetory. Its difficult to say with respect to further increase of seats in 2011. I believe that before setting up new IIT's & hence seats, it would be better to improve facilities of existing new IIT's. Because of reservation good nos of ingenious students are devprived of getting admission in old IIT's in theire desire branch.
