2nd order derivative gives how slope of a function varies.It is like acceleration to the displacement.

f'(x) gives the slope of the function--the `rate' at which f is changing.

f''(x) gives the rate at which the slope is changing and gives, roughly, the rate at which the graph is bending. I think all is cleared by looking at the figure above.
