I think you shud go with Production at NIT jalandhar due to reasons:
1. NIT is branch name and is better then usit collage.
2. Regarding branch.. this branch has good scope, production engineers deals with integrated design and efficient planning of the entire manufacturing system, which is becoming increasingly complex with the emergence of sophisticated, production methods and control systems.
Job and Scope: Opportunities are available in public and private sector manufacturing organizations engaged in implementation, development and management of new production Process, information and control systems and computer controlled inspection, assembly and handling.
2. There is probablity of branch change after one year ..its quite hard but if you will work hard you can switch to better branch
But if you don't have lil bit interest , then it will be a risk .. and in this case it will be better to go with desired branch .. so finally its all upto you .. Decide wisely.
