FIRST OF ALL.. PLZ REPLY AS SOON AS U READ IT.. I HAV VERY LESS TYM FOR DECISION MAKINGm 1 year dropper, jee-9400... GEN. CATEGORY (frm mp) my rank in aieee 28700, i want NITs with atleast civil branch or above... i hav heard tht previous year apart from initial 5 round allotment.. counselling was extended till 9 round due to vacancies... n one candidate with 33000 rank( gen) got nit raipur civil branch... so, my ques. is :-shd i take risk to go till 7 or 8 round... analysing present scenario, what u experts shd suggest me. bcoz, after 5th round, it'll be lil bit risk... so, plz suggest..is saal bhi kya 8 ya 9 round tak ja sakt hai kya??n i only want NITs (any NIT) with civil n above branch...THANKS..ANYMORE SUGGESTION IS WELCOME..
Strictly no no no no . U are already a one year dropper & talking such wierd things doesn't make sense .
Advatage for risk in fifth round ye hai ki very few people take risk even for 5th round & hence get a good college since the vacancies will be filled by them but disadvantage ye hai ki further rounds tak jo college mein admission le chuke hote vacancies ki vajah se pehle unki upgradation hoti hai aur fir peeche ki branches mein naye bacho ka admission hota hain most of them are those who do not get any college till 4th round & 99% of them are 40000 rank below . So in fifth round u may end up getting a decent nit but barach such as mining .
But after that it's foolishness . Make along list in 5th round to avoid any risk . 33000 rank case is an exception & depending on such things is insensible.
Do approve if u get saved from a bad expierence due to this .
