I have got civil eng b tech in iit guwahati. Is it a good option? I have already applied for 2nd allott. but chances are few. In the first year there is a chance for branch changing. Should i try to get mech eng in the first year.pls reply soon....................

Civil engg in IITG is a good branch,you will get nice placements for any branch because you are an IITian.You always have an option of Branch change after getting into IIT,if you study hard in first year its very easy,you can even get in CS branch,so study well.
