dropping an year is a bad idea if u r not just brilliant.Plz understand carefully that if u can't give average 8-10 hours a day besides coaching for study den u shouldn't drop an year.
I think u should take admission in sum college an study hard there over dropping an year.Salray is approx same for all streams and gud and best colleges.
