My OBC category rank in IIT-JEE 2010 is 1648 and my BITSAT score is 312. Should I go for NEW IIT's in preference to BITS-pilani? since number of seats have increased this time could I hope OLD IIT'S.

You can get admission in old IITs .. you may not get the branch of your choice in IIT dellhi , bombay and kanpur .. but u ll surely get a decent  branch in old IIT

 If you compare NEW IIT with BITS Pilani I wud suggest BITS Pilani as its a older institute and have a better name in the Market then new IIT's .

You can surely hope to get a chance in a Old IIT may be not in branch of your choice but you do stand a chance .

of course BITS.I dont think u could get any decent branch at old IITs and u can get any branch in BITS hyd/goa and quite some courses at pilani as well
