My IIT JEE 2010 rank is 6401. I want to know if i can get mechanical engineering in iit hydrebad or iit patna.

You can get admission in old IITs .. you may not get the branch of your choice in IIT dellhi , bombay and kanpur .. but u ll surely get a decent  branch in old IIT.

You will have a chance for Mech . In IIT HYD AND PATNA
