hi I recently appeared for my jee exam and likely to get around 7000 rank.Can i expect to get mechanical engineering in any of the new IIT's?

As your expected rank is around 7000, so with this rank chances are very less that you can get mechanical engineering in any of the new IIT's. 

However this might be possible that you can get textile or paper wood or ulp engineering in any of the old IIT's .

However score may vary and as a result rank may also vary, a slight difference may create lots of difference in rank.
