i am expecting a rank arond 9000 in iit jee 2010.This is my first attempt.what should i do?should i drop?or can i get a good branch in IT-BHU?

In the first attempt you tried to achieve your target and luckily you were close, but with this rank probably you might not get any desired branch of your choice.

So it only an advice that if you feel that you can score well in the next attempt then only drop your year else concentrate and take the admission .

However score may vary and as a result rank may also vary, a slight difference may create lots of difference in rank.
