Dear student 
For a point electric charge,
F=q(V(vector) × B(vector)).
or
F=qVBsin theta. (scalar)
When sin theta is 1, force is maximum.
F=qVB.
When sin theta is 0. force minimum=0.
Work done by this force = Increase in Kinetic energy 
w = F.ds = Fs Cos90 
w=0 
Hence increase in KE is zero.
