why do we take area of rod as (Pi*d2/4) why not (Pi*l*r2). sir is it the cross-sectional area??

As you know area of circular cross section is and r = d/2 hence it will be (Pi*d2/4) and the other part is not clearly understandable. So re post the question and we will get back to you.
