Dear Student,

Aerospace in IIT Bombay:
Pros:
1. This is the 2nd best branch and students favorite in IITB after Computer Science.
2. You will get to know many things and learning will be fun.
3. Study-wise this branch is excellent.
4. You should be interested in this topics if you take this branch: Aerodynamics, Thermodynamics, Solid mechanics, Designing on CAD and manufacturing (CAM)
5. You may lend up in DRDO, HAL, NAL, etc. All offer very good package and quality of project you will be leading is VERY BIG. So results in good status in society and friends
6. You can go for R & D or research opportunities also.

Cons:
1. Most companies consider only M tech in aerospace engineering
2. Number of companies are also less.
3. If you don't make it in core you might have to go to non-core companies or do an MBA.

Chemical Engineering in IIT Bombay
Pros

1. Good branch, wide opportunities.
2. You should be interested in this topics if you take this branch: Fluid mechanics, Fluid dynamics, etc
3. You can take a job, go for MBA, or go for MS after b tech
4. You may lend up in Tata Chemicals, UPL Limited, India Glycols Limited, BASF, Pidilite Industries limited, Vikas WSP Limited, Phillips Carbon Black Limited, Gujarat Heavy Chemicals limited, Aarti industries, Gujarat fluorochemical limited , etc

Cons
1. Job opportunities are high but pay package may be less.
2. Average number of placements is high but average package is less than aerospace.
3. If you don't make it in core you might have to go to non-core companies or do an MBA.

Now you have to decide what type of life you want to lead?
