If you are studying in Schools like KV NTPC farakka then its definitely more than excellent decision. But if your school and teachers are well enough to teach you then you can offer a correspondence course and prepare for competitive at home along with schooling.

There is no need to leave your hometown if you really want to do preparation for IIT JEE then you can also do from your home town you just join the best home town coaching center and do study with dedication that will be much better than to leave your hometown.
