Hi,

Solving these two equations, we get two values of x, one negative and one positive. putting the positive value of x in the equation of parabola,we get two values of y.
So, there are two points on which these two curves intersect.

Hi Student

Substitue y2 = 4x in equation of circle
x2 + 4x – 25 =0
x= ( -4 ± ( 16 + 100)½)/2
= -2 ± ( 29)1/2
Since y cannot be negative so x will only take positive value i.e -2 + (29)½
For that 2 values of y are possible
Hence 2 points
