I'm getting stuck to this question. Actually, how can I make a graph between relative velocity and the time? And how can I compare the two graph of the same?

Dear student,

Relative velocity ofP_1with respect toP_2is given asv_{P_1}-v_{P_2}

Let the velocities of the particles be represented as

v_{P_1}=k_1tandv_{P_2}=k_2t

Clearlyk_1>k_2(since these are the slopes of v-t curves)

Hence relative velocity=(k_1-k_2)twhich is a straight line with positive slope. Hence it increases continuously.

Hope it helps. Regards.
