I cant assess about college or placements but the branch is a good one and along with MBA is also present, MBA got huge demand all the time . But some compines while recruitment they look only for only 2 yr full time MBA course. But after the experience it doesnt matter . SO choose which suits you. All the best.

You can do but you are making MBA degree for two times. I dont think its a right idea unless you look for top IIMs or for GMAT or ISB etc.
