Yes , i have a very good examples that the peoples are taking drop for a year and prepare for it , and made it to iit kanpur and roorkee .
i hv 1 example of a student that he got 25 in the jee main frst attempt and not qualified , and in the 2nd attempt he scored 210 and qualified mains and advanced also .
but in this long term u need to work very hard , nearly double the amount of hours .
LEARN from your mistake and try to strong that as far as possible .
as u have a very good grasp on both classes take test series as much as possible .
and remember not to repeat the mistake again .
SO, GO AHEAD AND TAKE A DROP IF U ARE CONFIDENT  ON IT .
ALL THE BEST ..
