Hi,

At least 1.4 million students appeared for the JEE-Main exam last year and the top 150,000 sat for the JEE-Advanced test. So, you can estimate the count to be around 1.5 million this time.
I guess almost all the students who qualify for JEE advanced would be potential students and would be seriously fighting for the seats.
