One can definitely float a metallic ball between two electro magnets.Ball doesn’t have it’s own magnetism , it is actually the response of the metallic ball to the external magnetic field. If you are giving spin to the ball when it is floating in between electromagnets then it can keep on spinning there as there is no external torque to disturb the rotation.
