Thanks for your post.

Given lines are,
x²- 8x + 12 = 0, $\large \Rightarrow$ x – 2 = 0, x – 6 = 0
y² – 14y + 40 = 0 $\large \Rightarrow$ y – 4 = 0, y – 10 = 0

These lines can be plotted on the coordinate plane as shown in the figure:

From the figure,
the centre of the inscribed circle is C (4,7).
