so the magic construction is to construct a line through D parallel to BE, and let it meet AC at P. now AE=EP=PC because of mid point theorem applied twice. that means DP=2OE (again mid point) also, BE=2DP or BO+OE=2(2OE) or BO+OE=4OE or BO=3OE
