I am a BE in computer science and worked in software industry for 6 yrs. Now I want to switch to teaching profession due to family responsibilities. I can't go for M Tech full time course, so I am planning to go for a distance learning program for M Tech. I would like to know whether the degree of M Tech via distance learning program would be considerable for lectureship in engineering colleges.

Many Universities consider DLP MTech while some may not,

You must check eligibility criteria for differnt universities.
