are there students who solve numericals from the start on their own? i mean if i am covering a totally new topic, should i see the solutions of the solved problems? do most others see, or they solve on their own?

i think you are getting over concerned about things , every student has its own way to plan out the studies.

you have to check your area of strength and weakness and then plan according to it.

No numerical exercise will benefit you until you have basics clear about the topic, and then, numerical can improve your understanding for the studies topic.

 SO , i would suggest you to look on the areas to changed in your way to study,because the judge of yourself is YOU.
