if two mutually perpendicular lines with their direction cosines are given and we have to find out the direction cosine of a line perpendicular to both given lines.then how we will find out.

you can write direction cosines in terms of vectors eg. for a line with direction cosine a,b,c we have in vector notation ai+bj+ck(i,j,k are usual unit vectors)

so write both lines in vector notation and then take there cross product that will correspond to perpendicular vector now you can write there direction ratios or cosines.
