i am a student of btech 2nd year in iit kanpur.i want to start preperation for ias bt i am confused when and how to start and as you know the academics of IIT KANPUR is toughest acads in all the iit so i am in dilemma that is it right time to start or i should wait till 3year to come.

yes this is the right time to start the praparation. Read the newspapers daily. Read economic times daily. Read the magazine Chronicle. Decide your optionals and strat reading the basic books for that.
