can i do M.tech in thermal power engineering or aeronautical engineering after my B.tech in production engineering as is the case with mechanical engineering

Mechanical l engg has got almost the same curriculum as Prod. and ind. engg. they have quite a similar kinda courses. But doing an Mtech , requires u to do a related course in ur btech , and mtech is just the specialisation of that topic.

Thermal power engg is possible to be pursued in Mtech but m nt sure of aeronautical; engg.

Thermal power engg has got great scope in India and can fetch u a decent job too. On the other hand aeronautical engg has got much limited scope in india but with the rising airlines industry , increase in job prospects is also on cards.
