Hi

If an electric body produces an electric field then the electric field produced by it is uniform around it. This results in the balancing of the resultant force on that body, due to which there is no net force on the body due to its own electric field.

But when some other body is placed near the body, the net force is not zero and hence it experiences a resultant force.
