the equation x^2 + nx +m =0, n,m is an element of I can not have (ans. irrational roots) need explanation

Dear Sudha ,

actually your answer is wrong. put n =3 ,m =1  then n ,m ε I  ,   

d =sqrt(9-4) = sqrt(5) , so roots are irrational  in this case .or maybe something is missing in the quesiton. i assumed I is an integer set.
