As far as metallurgy is concerned it is now good only in top nits as there hindalco and some other core comes rest all are in IT sector only, What interests you more, Logic, Mathematics, Computers, programming, mind-boggling puzzles or core engg. subjects like strength of materials, stuff related to metals and their extraction, furnaces etc?On top of all these, what matters the most is you point of interest. Remember "College stays with you for four years, but your branch stays with you forever!".
My personal suggestion to you would be: unless you have specific interest of studying Metallurgy, or you feel that you've got good chance of sliding to a better branch (again talking in terms of your interest), you may add a few more renowned institutions to your existing list – Quantum School of Technology, Roorkee,.............Lovely Professional University, Phagwara,.......................BITS, Pilani, Rajasthan
