Dear student, it marks the standard of a technical institution, like IITs are on the top, next to them are NITs, thereafter IIITs etc, but it altogether does not mean that the level of education or the faculty members or the image is lesser in any regard, you never know a student from a coomon and less renowned college may do a wonderful job, remember all the renowned personalities have come up out of common men only, so, don’t be after big names rather show your concern for quality and better placements.
