The thumb rule is not to think about how much time you gave to learning. It is to grasp all that is being taught to you and all that you want to learn. If you get the hang of a concept, don't overkill it by needlessly practicing questions that you're capable of solving: let your competitive edge take over and switch your priorities towards learning something that you haven't been able to, yet, but has already been taught to you.Don't let the syllabus shackle your interest. If you're really interested in a particular concept, go ahead by all means and study it in the depth that will satisfy you.
