I want to study chemical engg.But my parents say that chem engg are prone to harmful chemical and gases.So they they fall ill and die soon.Is it true?

Of course in chemical engg. you will have to deal with the chemicals and all. If you are really intereseted then its also a good option if doing from the good and reputed institute. Whereas core branches are more prefered over this. Thanks.
