I want to know about the different branches which is being taught in nit? What is the lower branch and what is its cutoff of general?

there are branches like computerscience, mechanical,civil,electrical,mechanical, textile etc. are taught in nit .you can consider textile s the lower branch wjose cutoff this year for general is near about 101 marks

Dear Student, I'm talking about the quality of students in general. There will be a huge difference in the cut-off's of old branche at top NITs and new IIITs[ can you please answer why is it so? they are not dumb people]. And yes i'm aware of the fact that sc/st reservations are there in every govt. college but that doesn't make the college degrade! So what? if he/she is a not a general candidate. Just as you said, what you do in these 4 years is important. Also, I'm talking about the average packages in general. And no you are wrong, 40-45% students who are not generally category and who have not fared well in AIEEE/JEE MAINS will continue to be behind too in their course.
