A 10^th class student must mainly focus on Ncert books. They are the foundation and main books for cracking IIT. So ignoring them is not a god idea at all

Also there are many topics of 9^th and 10^th that forms base of 11^th topics. So try to be good with concepts from now only as it will help you a lot in future.Also I suggest you to do books like r.d. sharma for maths along with ncert as it will help you to succeed in future:}
