What is the basic difference between order and degree of a DE?? For example what is degree of sin(dy/dx)=x.

Hi there. Order is the highest derivative present in equation. Degree is defined as the exponent of the highest order derivative appearing in that equation. For the ques you asked degree would be not defined .Degree of Function of dy/dx or d²y/dx² in sin,cos, log functions is not defined.
