Use dy/dx first to find out answer and then equate it to “0” to get a relation between “a” and “b”. After wards apply the condition of local maxima such that it must be greater than both the neighbouring values and then you will get the second equation in“a”and “b”.
Now you have two equations and two unknowns and you can easily find out the values of“a”and “b”
