I am not able to write the answer properly in this software. However, please try to understand.
sinx + cosx = $\sqrt{2}$ sin(x + pi/4)
$\lim_{x\rightarrow 5\pi /4}$ [$\sqrt{2}$ sin(x + pi/4) ]
Both LHL and RHL = – 2 ( because sin(x + pi/4) value will be -1 at 5pi/4, and muliplication by $\sqrt{2}$ will make the value -$\sqrt{2}$. Greatest integer value for – $\sqrt{2}$ will be -2.
Hence, answer has to be – 2.
