Approved Tutor Answer7 Years agowe can write √(x^2+1) -1 as (√(x^2+1) – 1)(√(x^2+1) + 1)/(√(x^2+1) + 1)= x^2/(√(x^2+1) + 1)
similarly write √(x^2+9)-3 as (√(x^2+9) – 3)(√(x^2+9) + 3)/(√(x^2+9) + 3)= x^2/(√(x^2+9) + 3)
so that √(x^2+1) -1/√(x^2+9)-3= (√(x^2+9) + 3)/(√(x^2+1) + 1)
now taking limit x tends to 0,
6/2
= 3
