$\\y=\sqrt{x+1} + \sqrt{x-1} \\\frac{dy}{dx}=\frac{1}{2*\sqrt{x+1}}+\frac{1}{2*\sqrt{x-1}} \\\frac{dy}{dx}=\frac{\sqrt{x-1}+\sqrt{x+1}}{2*\sqrt{x^2-1}}=\frac{y}{2*\sqrt{x^2-1}} \\=>\sqrt{x^2-1}\frac{dy}{dx}=\frac{y}{2}$
