let log x = tan theta
 
hence f(x) = cos^-1 (cos 2 theta) = 2 theta = 2 tan^-1 (logx)
 
hence f’(x) = 2/x(1 + (logx)^2)
 
f’(e) = 2/ e(2) = 1/e
