If any tangent line on curve √x/a+√y/b=1 cuts intercepts p & q on axes then show that P/a+q/b=1.

LEt consider a point in parametric form on this curve

(a^2 cos^4 theta, b^2 sin^4 theta)

Now write eqn of tangent to this point and then put x=0 and y=0, so you get x and y intercepts and now put values on the given eqn
